Air Quality - a new plan? 14th May 17.30

Air Quality - a new strategy for Kirklees? is this months Green Drinks theme on 14th May. Come and hear about the council's future plans for tackling the health effects of poor air quality. What are the the key points? Join in a Q&A and discussion.

The session will start about 18.00 with a Skype contribution from ClientEarth healthy air campaigner, Andrea Lee, on the slow progress nationally in meeting the minimum legal air quality standards. ClientEarth have made three successful legal challenges to the government inadequate plans to tackle poor air quality. Meanwhile we discover it's a more serious threat to the health of children than we realised.

We start with networking at 17.30 and the presentations and discussion run from 18.00 - about 19.20. We welcome newcomers. More information and register at http://mmetu.ps/e/Gp6hS/DbvR0/f
